ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL/EARLY DISMISSAL

Breakfast is served from 8:00-8:30 am.
School begins at 8:40 am.
Dismissal is at 3:30 pm.
- Students who eat breakfast should arrive at 8:00 am.
- Students should arrive between 8:25 and 8:40. They remain on the playground until the whistle blows at 8:40 when they line up at their classroom paw prints.
- Students enter the building at 8:40 to begin the school day.
- Tardy students report to the office to obtain a pass for class.
- When the weather is bad, students should go to the large gym (cafeteria).
- Students should be picked up from the courtyard promptly at 3:30 pm. Students and siblings should not play on the playground between 3:30-3:45 so that dismissal can proceed smoothly.
When you need to pick up your child before 3:30: Parents must report to the office to sign their child out for early dismissal. Students will only be released to parents or guardians unless we receive a written note with other instructions.
Report absences at 290-4393 24 hours a day.
Following the 9:00 am classroom attendance check, you will be contacted at home or work to determine your child’s location if you have not called.
For your child’s safety:
- There is no adult supervision before 8:25 or after 3:30.
- Contact the YWCA Keys program at 725-7203 for childcare before 8:25 and after 3:30.
- For safety reasons, students should not wait for parents at the public library after school.
- Children are not to leave the school yard without the teacher’s permission.
EARLY RELEASE DAYS
School will close at 1:15 pm five days this year so that teachers can attend professional development meetings.
