Celebration of Learning highlights curriculum through hands-on activities
Parents, staff and community members can experience hands-on curriculum activities, learn to ride a Segway, see the University City robotics teams and robot Pele in action, get a wellness check up and talk to representatives from school clubs and community organizations at the annual Celebration of Learning event on Wednesday, May 5.
The School District of University City’s annual Celebration of Learning will begin at 6 p.m. on May 5 at Brittany Woods Middle School, located at 8125 Groby Road (63130), with the annual Academic Improvement Awards presentation beginning at 7 p.m. The event features hand-on activities led by faculty members to demonstrate what District students in grades PreK-12 have been learning throughout the year. The Academic Improvement Awards honor students from each school and grade level who have shown improvement throughout the year.
